Using Quillroll
Quillroll lets you play AI-narrated text adventures and use generators for characters, NPCs, shops, quests and story ideas. You need to be 13 or older to use it.
Content rules
Stories and generated results stay PG-13. You may not use Quillroll to request or create:
- sexual, erotic or other adult content of any kind, and anything that sexualizes minors;
- graphic gore, or content that harasses, threatens or promotes hatred against real people or groups;
- content that promotes self-harm or illegal activity, or that copies characters, worlds or text you don't have the rights to.
The narrator steers away from these topics, and some requests are refused outright. We may delete adventures and suspend or close accounts that keep breaking these rules, without a refund for the affected purchase.
AI-generated content
Stories and results are written by AI. They can be inconsistent, strange or wrong. You can use what you generate however you like, including in your own games and writing.
Accounts
You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity on your account. Adventures you start without an account are saved in your browser; clearing your browser data removes them from your list.
Plans and payments
Paid plans are sold by Creem, our merchant of record, which handles payment, taxes and receipts. Prices are shown on the pricing page.
- Pro renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account page; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Turn packs are one-time purchases. Their turns expire 60 days after purchase.
- Unused turns don't roll over to the next period.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of a purchase if you haven't used any turns from it. Email us from the address on your account. Once you've used paid turns, that purchase can't be refunded, except where the law requires.
Limits and availability
Free use is limited and the limits may change. We may pause the service when demand or costs are high.

Dungeons & Dragons and D&D are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast. Quillroll is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.
Liability
Quillroll is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
