Privacy policy
What we collect
- Adventures. What you type and what the narrator writes are stored so you can continue the story. If you're signed in, they're linked to your account; if not, your browser keeps a private key that lets only you open them.
- Generator options. The options you pick are sent to our AI provider to create the result. Results aren't stored on our servers.
- Account. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to run your account and link your purchases. We don't use Google user data for advertising and don't sell it. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
- Usage limits. We store a one-way hash of your IP address with a time stamp to enforce daily free limits.
- Payments. Creem processes payments. We receive your plan, order ID and amount, never your card details.
- Analytics. If enabled, we use Google Analytics to count visits. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked first.
AI provider
Adventure text and generator options are sent to our AI model provider to produce responses. Don't type personal information into a story.
Keeping and deleting data
Adventures are kept until you delete them from My adventures. Account details are kept while your account is open. To delete your account and everything linked to it, email hello@quillroll.com; we do it within 30 days. Payment records may be kept by Creem as tax law requires.
Children
Quillroll is for people 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.
